How to Win Free Books in Giveaways in 2020

I’m sure all bookworms out there can agree with me when I say that you can never own too many books. I have a mountain in my room that I have yet to read, but I still can’t stay away from my favourite second-hand bookstores.

Browsing the aisles of a bookstore is just a feeling that I can never get enough of. I love digging through dusty shelves and discovering an author I’ve never heard of before. Sometimes when I’m lucky, I’d even find letters or names of people who once owned the book.

Actually, I think the only thing that can beat buying books is getting them for free. If you think I’m right, then wait no further and join me on this quest to getting free books. This is the best way to fill up your TBR lists without going broke this 2020!

Riveted by Simon Teen

For your fill of young adult fiction, head to Riveted by Simon Teen. They boast of excellent titles written by both newcomers and established names alike. Their giveaways include hardcopies and advanced copies. As if getting books for free wasn’t good enough already, they’re also offering you the opportunity to be one of the first to read new books. Trust me when I say that you’ll have a hard time finding a better deal than that!

Bookish First

Bookish First delivers on the promise of their name with the premise of their website.

Here are the mechanics: visit the site on Mondays, read a preview of a book, and write a review for it. If you win, you’ll receive an email the next day saying that you’ll be getting a copy of the book you reviewed. If you don’t, you’ll get points that you can eventually cash in for a free book. Bookish First is probably one of the few places online where you get rewarded with books by being a total bookworm.

Book Page

If you’re the type who likes their giveaways with a personal touch, then Book Page’s monthly giveaways are the ones for you. Not only do you stand the chance to win new and exciting releases, but you also know you’re in good hands because the staff picked them out for you. Sometimes, they’ll even throw in non-book freebies just so you really get the best out of this deal.

Writer Space

Each reader is different. While I like to stick with physical copies, I know there are a lot of people out there who prefer e-books. If you’re one of the latter, then you should definitely join Writer Space’s giveaway contests. They have books pretty much under all genres in the form of paperbacks, hardcovers, and ebooks. You’re sure to find something that you’ll like in their lists of giveaways.

Goodreads

Goodreads is always offering free giveaways. Their selections vary across different genres, and they come in either print and Kindle formats. Unfortunately, they’re currently only available in the US and Canada. If you live in these territories, then make sure you have their giveaways section bookmarked for constant checking.

Librarything

If you look around hard enough on Librarything’s giveaways forum, you’re bound to find a book that’s free just for you. There are a lot of people who post about giveaways there, so make sure that this site is on your lists of rotations when looking for free books.

Well, there you have it. You’re ready to fill up your TBR list with books that you got for absolutely free!
